Derek C. Prosser, PhD (Assistant Professor, VCU Biology)
Derek is a cell biologist and geneticist who studies protein sorting, membrane traffic, and neurodegeneration. He is particularly interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms of clathrin-independent endocytosis, as well as in understanding relationships between organelle structure/function and disease. Derek completed a PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Ottawa and postdoctoral studies at The Johns Hopkins University before joining the Department of Biology at VCU in 2017. |
AnnaMari Stump (PhD student, Integrative Life Sciences)
AnnaMari is studying roles for the high-osmolarity glycerol (HOG) pathway in clathrin-independent endocytosis, as well as roles for lipid regulation in ALS. Outside of the lab, she enjoys going on adventures with her dog Maple and her fiancé, Trevor. |
